Will Smith developing crime-thriller for FOX television

Hollywoodnews.com: Will Smith is heading back to China, though it’s not as a location scout for another “Karate Kid” film.
Instead, Smith is researching “The Buddy System,” a crime drama he will develop for Fox that follows a crime-fighting college student, according to
Variety.
Smith reportedly has recruited Chinese director Eva Jin to help collaborate on the show, which sounds like it has the potential to be the new “Alias” (for those of us out here, like me, who miss that show with a passion).
This isn’t Smith’s only foray into television. His production company is still in the process of developing an hour-long TV show that would be based on his mega-hit comedy, “Hitch.”
And if they were smart, they’d lure “King of Queens” star Kevin James back to the small screen for that project, though as long as he continues to collaborate with Adam Sandler, James won’t need the small-screen work.
